Pets are wonderful creatures who make life more fulfilling for many people. However, they can also pose health hazards to the humans they live with, the most common of which is pet allergy. An article in Health Magazine discusses how pets can cause asthma or allergy attacks in humans:
"Pets shed dander, a combination of dead skin cells and hair (or feathers), which can trigger asthma attacks and allergic reactions in people who are sensitive to the allergens. (Cold-blooded pets such as snakes and turtles do not produce dander.)"
